Hi there. A friend of mine whose lived in the US for 30 years, applied for a green card renewal in November 2003, and still waiting.
Whenever he calls the USCIS, all they can tell him is that his case is 'pending'. It's been more than 12 months now. He is actually on probation at the moment for a felony.
What do you think is happening with his application? They are not saying yes or no, and he keeps having to go for 6 month extensions. Is there a chance that he'd get kicked out once his probation is over? He might still not have heard about his green card renewal by then.
