Can someone here on an H visa be able to have a vehicle in their name,and insurance on that vehicle in their name?

this person is coming from australia to work in Minnesota on an H visa,wants to have his own car and license but is unsure if he can have one in his name as well as have his own insurance policy

Shouldn't be a problem, so long as you are able to attain a driver's license.

I came to this country legally, my status right now is overstayed... Visitor visa.

Until i know... as long you are able to get a driver's license, you are able to get a car in your name and of course, the insurance.

Yes. That presents no problems at all. I am on H1-B and have a car (needless to say, getting close to paying off) and have car insurance....

Thanks to freedome in hte US, they do not limit you in this arena...
