on more question, please.......
ONce my boyfriend gets the green card and marrys me (hopefully) how long after that can i get my temporary papers so i can feel like a normal human being without worrying myself to death, wasting my years becuse of the unknown...i know it was my choice to come here, fell in love( my bad) and i'm just hoping and keep hoping he'll get his green card back so we can start a normal life. I mnot 18 anymore and i'm afraid i'm waiting for something that's not going to happen. i've been here for a few years now. :-(
SO AGAIN, DO YOU GUYS THINK HE CAN MARRY ME WITH GREEN CARD AND HOW LONG AFTER THAT. thanks agin and good luck to everyone.

After ur b/f gets a green card the process is still long, but it wouldnt be if he was a citizen. Did u enter the country legally? If so then ur case is not as complicated but if you entered illegally then its ALOT complicated. You should talk to a lawyer to get more definate answers.

........what i meant was not about the question if i should or not wait, it was more ABOUT -since i don't reallyknow how it works, i was just curious if tha/ts what i need to do if i decide to stick with it to stay here and wiat years and years to get any kind of legal papers? and all just based on your answers. i might have put it the wrong way that's why it turned out silly. sorry. English is notm y native language. thanks though.

Worst case:
Because you are out of status for over a year, you have to wait him to become USC so that you can file AOS in the U.S. If you leave, 10 year ban will apply to you. 5-year wait time after he becomes LPR.

Best case:
If he is son of USC or his employment petition was filed before 245i sunset, you may be able to marry him before he files AOS and receive your GC as derivative with him.

if you can post what immigration petition he is under and his priority date, people can provide better solution for you.

Good luck
