I had applied form I-751 jointly with my USC wife. My case is still pending and one year extension on my NOA has just expired a week ago. The decision is not made yet on my case. Is there any fee for extension? What is the procedure for work permit and travel permit? The answer would be appreciated. Thanks!

No there are no new fees for the extension. You I believe are the one with upcoming interview.

thats right bardan,,no fees or anything,,just make an info pass and go o ur local office and there thwy will stamp ur passport (i-751)for 1 year,,and u dont need a work permint,,bcoz the 751 stamp on ur passpoer wil allowed u to work,,but dont leave the country man,,trust me,,dont leave no matter what,,

yep,,thats all u need ,,hes right 100%,,dont worry man,,they will just take ur extention letter and look it up on the computer and and 10 seconds later they will say ur case is still pending and then boom,,stamp on ur passport,,,(donttttt leave the countryyyy)lol,,i know 4now hes case is different but its always not good to leave the country while the 751 is still pending,,lol,just do that bardan and u will be fine,,and dont listen to lawyers or whoever is telling u about a work permint,,ur perminant residnet man,,and ur 751 allowed u to work and travel,,good luck

Mike, you're absolutely right. Guess what happened today. Today, I called my lawyer and ask him about it and he told me that I'd have to pay $500 to him and he will process for my work permit. Look guys if I wouldn't have talked to you, then my $500 would be gone!

$500 to get u a work permint??????????????and u have an i-751?hahaha what a jurk,,dont listen o ther ****,,i knoew it bcoz i went thry this,,and listen my friend the interview ur talking about is a different story,,ther talking about when u go for the 751 interview with ur wife,,but in the mean time u have to extend ur status until they call u up for an interview,,they wont call uor remind u for this,,u dont need an interview,,u have to log on the www.uscis.gov and make an info pass appointmrnt and there they will stamp ur passport in 1 minuite,,,dont listen to him,,,again u have an i-751 and ur allowed to work,,when they stamp ur passprt read it,,,it will say work authorized,,,do it fast man,,and just to let u know ,,when i went there,,the only thing i had was my passport and my calif id,,no extention ,,no plastic green card,,and they still stamped it,,take ur extention letter just in case,,and u wont have a problim,,u dont need a liar lawyer for this,,,good luck

Ok Mike, I'm going to do as you wrote here. Yes you're absolutely right. I don't need to listen to the Lawyer. My wife is pretty upset too because he is asking and asking money all the times. We have our own problems paying bills and he is asking money all the times. We already paid his fees 3 times. How many times do we have to keep paying? We don't have a money plant at our house you know. We work hard and make small money to pay our own bills.

Thanks Mike. Mike may be you got stamp on your passport before your one year extension was expired. But my NOA which said one year extension of my PR is expired. I'm not sure if there is any fee to get extension after it expires. are you sure it doesn't cost anything to get I-551 stamp even the NOA for 1 year extension is expired?

there is no cost. make infopass appointment and get new stamp. thats it . no big deal at all

When are they going to schedule it? What they said on the letter is they are going to give a date and time for the interview. But when? Why is this happening with my case? I came to this country as a student and I used to have an American girl friend before I came here and I got married with her while I was going to college. I never became out of status. My wife and I have a good relationship and our marriage is in good faith. My wife's family is the evidence of that and my friends and relatives too. Then why is this happening? Do you have any idea guys? Am I in America? America is supposed to be a very good civilized country isn't it?

Oh my Goodness Bardan

First you have to look at your service center that you filed to. at the left under Processing times. scroll to 751 and check the times. Then you have to find your local office and check their processing times. this will give you an idea how long it may be b4 you are scheduled. you many only get a 2week notice to appear.. or you may get a month in advance.

Everyone has to have an interview to remove conditions. However the service has the option to waive the personal interview and adjudicte on the evidence submitted. 1/3 of those applicants will be picked to have an interview. You are that 1/3 for whatever reason, may it be just random, or whatever other reason has made them decide.

However, you do not have anything to worry about, as you have a bonafide marriage. So have a little patience. and Civilized has nothing to do with it.

One more thing Bardan

You may be eligible right now to apply for the N-400 citizenship. You do not have to wait for the 751 to be approved before filing. this of course is based on marriage to us citizen.
2yrs and 9 months from date on conditional green card you may apply.

This one is the gold my friend. not 10 yrs card.

p.s... wait til you taste the how long a name check takes, learn patience my friend.

yes u should,,and this way u will force the imigration to make a dicesion on ur 751 very fast,,and usually they will approve it really fast,,
