If you really do need one, then a TIN should work (Tax Id Number) this can be obtained by filling our some paperwork in the social security office, it may take a little while for you to obtain it however, so do it asap.

You may want to double check that though. I have a friend who married someone from another country here, and since they were returning to his country to live, they were not concerned about permanent residency, social security numbers, etc. There was no problem for them (but I don't know if that was a state law or not)

I have no idea, but why don't you or your fiance call and say that your fiance wants to get married to someone from another country, who therefore does not have a social security number. Ask what documents would be needed in a case like that, etc.

Good Luck!

If i were you i wouldnt even bother get married in court because there ,you are being asked for etheir for your SSN or a picture instead i'd Go get married by a priest there ,they dont ask you for nothing and on top of that the pastor or priest or someone that holds a licence and that can marry people. So Choose the easiest way and that way you wouldnt have to deal with no headhache.
I hope that helped you.

i have the same question as you. My fiance and I wish to get married but the site i saw on the internet said that we both needed a SSc in ohio in order to get a marriage license. I don't understand what a TIN is or how to go about getting one.

Passport is the only thing you need and a form along with it, you can also mail it, that worked in Colorado when I did it.
