I was with H1B visa status. After working for one year for the company, I went home for vacation. Because the boss does not have any insurance for me, so I have to have a health check in my home country. After visiting the dentist, he told me I have to schedule a surgery in the hospital. So I need to stay a little bit longer for the surgery. I called the company and told the secretary about the surgery. The boss got mad and cancel my visa. I was being called in the embassy and they stamped cancel on my visa without listening to my health factor. The boss still owes me some salary and the paid holiday. All my stuff is still in the States. Can anybody help with my problem?
I just feel hopeless to this unfair treatment and I was not able to fight for the case against this sick boss. What can I do now?
Thankyou thankyou.

Wow..that really sucks! I guess the only thing you could do is apply for a B1 visa and come here to sell your stuff etc. Or else have someone else sell it and send you the cash.

You could report your company to local authoroties (not sure who is the right agency) for failure to pay salary and benefits accrued to that time. You can also sue them in small claims (for amount < $5000) but you would have to be here to do that.

I am sorry to hear such maltreatment by an employer. If it's possible you should try and get a new H-1B from another employer. Or you can visit U.S. on B-1/2 visa and take care of your things. You should letter to the Department of Labor about your employer.

you should try to re-apply for travel visa and take legal action against your employer.
