I mailed for a friend on April 29, 2005 received his NOA dated May 2, 2005 on May 13, 2005.
From Texas Service Center.
They are slow in the fianl step of the Immigration process.
When I checked on line it says 500 to 550 days waiting time. God knows how they work.

Just wanted to share some information about my N400 application. Timelines:
June 1, 05 - sent N400 to USCIS TSC
June 3, 05 - USCIS states that they received it
June 9, 05 - check with application fee is cashed
June 14, 05 - NOA is issued
June 22, 05 - NOA is received in the mail

Can somebody who filed N400 earlier this year share some information about their cases? Pasha, I know you filed your N400 in April this year. Anything happened after NOA arrives in the mail? Thank you, all, in advance.

Hi,

I mailed my N-400 on March 2, 2005 to TSC. And on Wednesday, Jun 29, 2005 I am taking the oath of allegiance to complete the Naturalization process. My process went pretty fast considering I am under TSC jurisdiction. Hope that helps and Good luck!

Where are you located? Your State?
You must be from Texas.
They have diffrent dates for all services.
If you look at other Service Centers which is under the jurisdiction of Tx.
timeline for GA, Fl, SC, NC, are far behind in the Naturalization process. though they are in the same jurisdiction. mostly the above 4 states have long waiting time.

Best of luck.

Adam,

Yes, I live in Texas. I have a friend who lives in Charlotte, NC and mailed his application six months before mine and his Naturalization process is no where near the end. I don't understand what's taking so long in NC. I guess it all depends on the D.O. you live in. Anyways, good luck!

Thank you all for your input. I just wannted to give another update on my case, since I've received a notice for fingerprints.

June 1, 05 - sent N400 to USCIS TSC
June 3, 05 - USCIS states that they received it
June 9, 05 - check with application fee is cashed
June 14, 05 - NOA is issued
June 22, 05 - NOA is received in the mail
June 23, 05 - notice for fingerprints appointment is issued
June 28, 05 - received a notice for fingerprints appointment scheduled for July 23, 05.

I have question however. July 23, 05 is Saturday. Is this a mistake or USCIS does work on Saturdays? What is the next step in this process after fingerprints are taken? Thank you in advance.

Sorry for ignorant questions, you pros, but when can one file for N400? I have a situation with an AOS interview (I-485, marriage-based)coming up in August, suppose I'm approved on the spot, when can I file for citizenship?

I just read the timelines of edgrapes, your case went quite fast, you have received a notice for fingerprints appointment for 7/23.05. my friend mailed his N-400 to TSC as follows:
April 29, 2005 sent N-400 to USCIS TSC
Received US Postal Returned Receipt
May 06 2005 NOA mailed
May 09, 2005 Received NOA.
After May 9, 2005 No News, Checked online and it says it takes some 700 to 999 days for this type of cases.

Ref to your post of June 3, June 9, 2005 have you received any letter from USCIS?

Some of the USCIS Office do work on Saturdays, check with them before you go.
Miami is faster the Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville, in Fl.

Actually my letter said that the naturalization process might take up to 425 days. It turned out to take about 117 days from the day I put the application in the mail. Good luck!

monclovac, what office did you go through.
Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville are are very slow.
Orlando has near about a years waiting, on the top of that my friend is getting a job with DOD, they want to know how long it will take for USCIS to confirm the citizenship,we wrote to TSC to find out since then we never received any information. or responce to our letter from TSC.
When checked it says 750 to 999 days for this type of cases.

Pasha and edgrapes, What is this cooking.

edgrapes, you asked monclovac, what local office he went through. NO RESPONSE.
My friend live in Belliview, Fl, under Orlando, FL. Office. He might have to wait for near about a year before he will be called.
May God help them and the USCIS to complete the process of this final step of the immigration for all of those who are still waiting. It is only a matter of months not years, what it says on the web page of the USCIS.
