I just received request for additional evidence 70 days after I filed for my EAD i765. How can this be so? Why wait until till now to request? I guess they just started processing it. I will send the additional evidence right away.

My question is; How does this affect the timeline of my application? Do I have to wait another 90 days or will it be processed rapidly once they receive the additional docs? What can I do?

Please help. as my current EAD expires shortly.

A request for evidence means that the application package you submitted was insufficient to approve. There is no time line for an EAD that is not supported by evidence. You must submit the requested evidence ASAP or it will be denied. The time limits on adjudication of an application do not apply when the application is insufficient to adjudicate positively. If you fail to respond your application will be denied. You may continue to work while the application is under adjudication.
