My brother who is a Citizen had file I-130 in Dec.15, 2000. This I-130 was approved in May 2007, approval letter says that Petitioner indicated that beneficiary will apply for the AOS in US. Which asked them to file for AOS with Chicago Office, which was file and then it was transfered to Lee's Summit, at MO, All Papers were received at MO.
All paper work was received by Lee's Summit office on 16, June 2007 Since then family is waiting for the approval of I-485, nor parents either beneficiary has not received any information on this I-130/I-485.
Any comments will be appreciated.

The status of the petition can be checked by logging into USCIS case-status webpage (www.uscis.gov) and entering the receipt number.
You can also check for official processing times (from the same page).

Good luck

As per USCIS 1st preference chargeability for unmarried sons and daughters of US Citizen is August 08, 2001.

I can not understand what is the delay in this case.
I have a friend who is also waiting for about six years.
He wrote to the same office they don't even write to the applicants.
It is not clear where you should write they dont have any address where you can find out.

RationalE do you think kumar can find out the processing dates for I-485.
If that is the case then kumar should try this webpage and info the discussion board.

I don't know if kumar can find out processing dates for I-130 based I-485 petitions at MCS, but he can certainly try to browse the net for the answers he seeks (and the following links ,to couple of other forums, may or may not be helpful in his search):

1. National Benefits Center (immigrationportal forum)

2.
Check NBC FAQ and other relevant links here (also from immigrationportal forum)

3. Look for threads/forums similar to this

4. Do further search ('google' it, so to say), if links above don't provide any clues you seek.

Good luck

I used to deal with US Embassy/Consulate in regards to the pending cases in past.
They were so prompt to answer any questions on Immigration matters. I always used to face problems with INS/Uscis, they never respnond to your letters.
I have seen they have more staff then the Embassy/Consulates.
What should be done about this pending matters for more the seven years.
Any comments.

I don't know about MSC, but from what I have read on other forums, NVC responds in a week or two and TSC does so almost the next day (if you email them).

Consult an immigration attorney who handled cases transfered to MSC in past.

Good luck

I think you have to wait until a visa number becomes available - which I think is going to be a long time. Last time I looked it was at 1997 that's ten years. You'd have to check with a lawyer. Maybe someone here can clarify if this is correct.

I filed for two I-485 AOS appliactions. To-day received interview letter for one applicant, second one is still pending with MSC, Now his F-1 will expeired shortly, since all papers have been filed. I am not sure what will be the status of this second applicant. I contacted the school, lady handling all F-1 cases do not know, where to file for extenstions papers, first she mailed to Orlando, then to Texas, now it is pending with Vermont for extension of F-1 visa.
At the same time I-485 is also pending both of them where finger printed in may 2007.
First casr he/she will appear for interview some time in Sept.07, though she/he is out of statue, though she/he was student up to 2003. What should we expect on this interview. will appreciate comments form you all. thank you.

Speaking from experience your brother should go into the office he filed to check the status. because When I lost my green card and did fingerprints after about nine months and checking status online which only say case pending. I went to my local office to check and that's when the immigration officer realized that my file was lost and they tracked it down and relocate it.......sometimes it's better to go check in person.

Well the case has been transfered to Lee'S Summit, which is Masouri Service Center, and it is pending with them. This is as per uscis Orlando.

I can not understand why the uscis is playing games with the life of immigrants. When visa number is available in this case, they are processing August 2001, and this Petition was file in 2000.
Infopass is not getting us any where.
