I had a very good experience and help using this site 3 years ago when I was waiting for my green card .
I was married to USC and after 5 years of waiting and abuse I received my green card , but in the end he cancelled papers for my children .
They are still in Russia and I am travelling non-stop in between 2 countries .
I am a professional , I have my own business , I went to senate representative , to Russian embassy - no help - they have to meet priority date which is Nov.2003 .
Now , the cut off dates regressed from 2002 to April 2001 for F2A visas and they plan to go even further back / this is because of the new immigration bill .
This is wonderful that people who came here illegally , crossing the borders are getting all the help and support .......
But what can be done for someone who came here legally , paying taxes , giving job to USC and playing strictly by the rules ?
I have to struggle for many years with the system which does not allow me to be with my children , which can change deadlines on its own convenience and which is giving the hardest possible time to decent , hardworking people in preference to a political game of extra votes .
I would like to hear any advice and the similar stories , maybe we can be heard if there will be enough of us and since singing of American anthem in Spanish helped millions of illegal people to get what they want , I am offering to sing it in Russian , Polish or whatever language available , just do it loud enough

Hope2006: I share your frustration that the Senate feels it appropriate to reward illegal aliens who have disregarded America's sovereignty and rule-of-law. It is doubtful, however, that there be any actual amnesty, as the House of Representatives is vehemently opposed.

I believe that you should sing the national anthem in English. Screeching the national anthem in Spanish simply enraged the American people and ensured that they remain opposed to amnesty for illegals.

I understand that you miss your children, and hope that they can join you in experiencing the wonder of America in the not-too-distant future. However, I disagree with your assertion that "the system which does not allow me to be with my children."

I remind you that you made the choice to immigrate to America, while leaving your children in Russia. The fact that your original means of sponsoring the children for immigration benefits did not succeed is not the fault of the United States. I am sure that you will acknowledge that America has no actual responsibility to reunite you with your children. Ultimately, if you chose to be with your children, you could make the decision to return to Russia. That you chose not to do so...well, that's your decision also.

It is up to the point . But is there anything else that could be done to facilitate the process ?
I am willing to see a lawyer / who knows what he is doing / , to go to the newspaper etc
There is another solution - to get married again , but I can not consider a marriage or having a US born child for the purpose of immigration benefits as an acceptable alternative .
