If you can't take the heat of open discussion then don't participate. Leave your hypersensitivity at home, work , or the country you came from..
But it is not up to us to judge people that come on here asking for help and advice, and that is exactly what Someone12 does, when he calls people names like Scumbag, douchebag, and a few other choice names...
Fair enough to tell them that they have a very hard case to put together ahead of them, or Yes you will have to go back to your own country and file waivers etc., all we can do is give someone advice from our own experiences.
Like I said it is not for us to judge them, that is why there is Homeland Security, INS, USCIS or whatever you want to call it, they are the judges not us.
So Jake tell us do you find these kind of posts and pics from your buddy acceptable for this board:
Beverly, let me make one thing clear, I am not taking sides, everybody has there own opinion, to tell you the truth, I dont read the articles, they should be situated in just one thread, Like I said, you should have your own thread, to post your own articles you find interesting, Explorer more often than not posts articles in the thread under mexican exploitation. It is then up to the other members to go into those threads to read the articles if they so wish. In doing this it will be easier to find the articles certain members post, instead of being blasted all over this forum.
I start reading a thread, of questions, then a few answers of what members have posted, then I have to run down the page or pages where articles have been posted, when all most people want to see is the advice members can give and learn by it. I dont want to have to read all the clap trap in between, that goes for everybody that posts articles not just you Beverly. But that is just me, some people like to read the articles and that is why I think they should all be put in one thread by each member posting them. if you get my drift..
Jake you might want to be careful who you support. If you think the average illegal that is spoken of is anything like you, your sadly mistaken. Next time there is a la raza rally go check it out. Just make sure you hide out in the back. Why?, you'll see when you get there.
You voted democrat. This country is not worth sneaking into any more.

I support those that want to become legal, even if they like me overstayed, or jumped the border or whatever. PROVIDING they are not criminals, they do not sponge off the government etc., and I think thats what many of us support.
Exactly! To add to Jake's statement, we should blame our government for failing to pass fair comprehensive immigration reform policies, not the people who are living here and contributing to our economy (this does not include the criminals, identity thieves, etc.).
ProudUSC, the gov has had the rule of law in place for a long time. Problem is, they dont obey it. Passing yet another law that won't be followed will do what? We just need to enforce what we have.
The overstays or others who at some point had permission to be here could be given a 2nd chance which they are. But not the EWI. Most of them are abusing our 14th, welfare, ID theft, and the IRS. They need to be shown the door. ProudUSC, I like what you said. Identity thieves should be bounced. That would include every EWI that is working which also stole a job from a USC.
Jake, you might want to read this. Seems there is a link between breast cancer and bO Obie traps.
Many of the suggestions that i suggested in the past have come from other immigration forums.
One of the reasons that ILW is my favorite is because the topics are not seperated into categories as in other forums. I can quickly decide what was posted and I can pick and choose what i wish to answer. I sincerly hope it remains this way.
However I would like to see the forum divided into 2 parts. one for immigration questions from posters becuase this is the only and foremost important reason that i come here to help. the 2nd part i would suggest be for news topics categories threads much like exploras Beverlys Proud usc and the world news threads and others. this way it will not take away the significance of the posters asking immigration questions. I feel really bad sometimes because I have missed a post of an immigrant requesting help because everybody posting articles everywhere. But i want to make this clear.. Nobody owns a thread as it is a public forum. The thread materical should be relative to the topic...no matter who posts it and wherever they post it. no more cry babies.. it is a public forum
In the past we had E, reminiscient E and many names before he had those. always would dominate the board with these articles. and if he would get mad.. then he would make a deluge of posts from the past just to flood the board. So This is nothing new here.
Again, suggestion to divide the board into at least 2 parts. This should solve most of the bickering here about who should be here and who not. Most of the members that will dive into the 2nd part for the most part do not answer immigration questions anyway and are only here for the debate. So make them a section and let them knock themselves out and post away!!.
The rest of us will continue to answer the questons posted . Hopefully this time the board will revive itself yet once again and other members will comeback and it can be the great board that it used to be.

Our immigration laws are a mess. It's not just about enforcement of current laws. It's about enacting some fair legislation that makes sense for the good of our country. We need more visas available to cover the agriculture, entertainment and construction markets. We either need to abolish TPS, or figure out how these immigrants can remain in our country legally. We need some form of regulation so greedy business owners cannot entice workers with slum wages.
I don't see how it's possible to place the blame on the people when the US is providing every opportunity for them to enter our country, live and work and enjoy many of the benefits that supposedly only USC's and legal residents are entitled to. We enacted laws to provide education to all children, regardless of status. So how can we complain about our schools being overcrowded with illegals and that our tax dollars are being used to support them. We invited this situation.
I'm tired of people casting all the blame on the illegals and none on our government. And, if our government waits another couple of years to try and tackle this situation, I think we'll be facing another civil war.

I beg to differ as exhibited by your instant personal attack and personal judgement predicated upon me with regards to my opinion and the articles I posted regarding the destruction of illegal aliens:
LOOK FAMILIAR JAKE?
quote:
The trouble is Proud & Mike, if Beverly and the likes of her was banned, it wouldn't be too long before someone else shows up just like her/them, the world is full of people with hate on their mind. whats the saying, "better the devil you know" I just wish they would use one thread to post their hate mail, that way it's up to the member if they want to read their clap trap!
YET YOU THINK THOSE HERE ILLEGALLY AND PERPETUALLY LOOKING FOR WAYS TO DEFRAUD THE US GOVERNMENT SHOULDN'T BE JUDGED:
quote:
But it is not up to us to judge people that come on here asking for help and advice, and that is exactly what Someone12 does, when he calls people names like Scumbag, douchebag, and a few other choice names...

So . . . . . basically what you are saying is it's okay for you and the rest of the illegals and their supporters on this board to judge, criticize and personally attack me because you don't agree with the articles I post and my stance AGAINST ILLEGAL ALIENS AND THEIR LAWLESSNESS.
But it's wrong to judge them for their criminal intents/actions. Isn't that right Jake?
Doesn't get much clearer than that what side of the fence/law you are on does it?
Fighting words and insults are not necessary to effectively convey a message. Insulting words do not add any value to the conversation, they are not essential to the poster's ability to express an idea and tend to serve as instruments to degrade and humiliate others. Why is that acceptable?

ITA, they are not acceptable nor are they necessary. Tell that to those who seem to think this board like the US is their personal territory because they've been squatting here the longest. They instigated the personal/racial attacks because I made the mistake of mentioning I was black and, thinking I would shrink like a violet if they all ganged up and hurled racial, sexually explicit and violent verbiage in my direction.
That being said, everybody has a breaking point, I reached mine and retaliated. Am I sorry I stooped to their level yes, but I refuse to be bullied and insulted by them. It didn't work in America during the LaRaza Mexican flag waiving marches and it doesn't work now.
Beverly, you seem to pick out quotes that you want to use in defense, but you dont look at the whole picture. try reading the 4th and 5th post down from the top of this page, also try reading what ProudUSC wrote on the 6th posting.
You have exhausted yourself with Proud, Explora, Mike, Iperson, now you want to start an argument with me, NO GO LADY!!! because if I do get started, YOU will not like what I put.
I am not stooping to your level... and if you carry on the way you have been acting, it will just prove what everybody has been saying against you..
And btw, I have not mentioned the colour of anyones skin!
Sorry, but you are the weakest link GOODBYE!!

SAM'S COMMENT: I AM THINKING OF WARNING FOR ONE OFFENSE, A FEW DAYS SUSPENSION FOR A REPEATED OFFENSE, AND PERMANENT BAR FOR A THIRD OFFENSE. WHAT DOES THE COMMUNITY THINK OF THIS GRADUATED APPROACH
Good start.
Yes, I agree, this is a good start. For sure, there will be a lot of hair-splitting about what constitutes an "offense."
All I can say is that there are different sides that the older members here hold (power member/senior member/and other designations of status that I may not have mentioned). Despite these differences, the bottomline idea is that immigration has 2 faces - legal or not. We all agree that illegal immigration is not proper. And legal immigrants have rights under the law.
Hopefully, these standards will help improve this forum.
Do all the good you can, in all the ways you can, as long as ever you can.
ProudUSC the laws if they were followed wouldn't cause employers to hire illegals or the schools to be over crowded. Its only because they weren't followed.
In the schools the reason for the education rules being what they are had to do with prior segragation problems. Those rules are being exploited to include people who really shouldn't be here in the first place.
The employers are the primary culprets here. If they didn't hire illegals the illegal wouldn't be here. But again, the rules weren't followed. Every employer knows, self included, that you are not supposed to hire an illegal. Commone sense tells you that. That and the I-9 and now E-verify establishes the principle.
Guest worker programs may not be a bad idea if limited. But again we would have to be cautious to avoid situations where employers don't hire imports only because they are cheaper. They have already shown they can't be trusted so something would have to be in place to force compliance. I disagree with construction needing it though. There are plenty of Americans who work construction to replace every illegal construction worker if fired today.
