Opel also said that her friend, after hearing that marriages in Islamic Centers weren't considered valid in Germany, went back to Germany and married his wife again, I assume in a way that is valid.

That said, I'm still confused as to why the step-children were approved, as if it's not a valid marriage, they're not valid step-children.

He also hasn't had any response as to the petition, except for what he heard in May last year that it was being sent back for revocation and he would hear more, plus what he was told in an infopass (though no idea how long ago that was).

Thank you so much for your answer Swissnut, you are correct, we spoke with an Immigration Attorney and he stated that it would have to be reinstated b/c its over a year, however the case was not denied b/c of fraud but b/c of the country not accepting that marriage certificate. That was all. As for Theone, this was a friend and I never stated that the mariage was not legal. Read the first post. Thank you anyways for your assistance.

Tell your friend this is United States of America which is run by Constitution where we have separation of State and Church, not an Arab state ruled by Sharia.
Of course one would have to register marriage by State institution, in any State, prior to application of I-130 ,for such marriage to be recognized by the US.

What a typical d.umb muslim...

Unfortunately race/religion baiting ar not rules of this forum yet, but coming soon. 2hand

You seem like you want to be a helpful person, so it might be good to not make sterotypical remarks that may offend some of the typical intellectual muslim guests/members or any other ethnic/releigions reading the threads on ILW.

Just a thought supErman Smile

If there are d.umb idiots out there, the best you can do is to let them know they are d.umb idiots.
