During my i-485 interview on August 20, 2005, my husband had mentioned to the immigration office that he was paying back child-support to his children from a previous relationship.
After the interview, the officer did not reach a decision, but instead, asked my husband to submit proof that he was up-to-date on his payments.

We presented this proof two days after, but to date, we have not heard any word from INS.

Could someone , please, tell me what the matter might be?

Moral turpitude is what I would guess. Skipping child support payment can be a felony offense.

Marmaduk, thanks for your response. I do not quite understand. Are you saying that if my husband skips child support it can prevent im from filing for me?
