My uncle was given a 10 year visitor visa for the US. Few question regarding that. When does he have to make his first visit? Does he have to come here soon, or just anytime within the next ten years? Whats the maximum he can stay here per visit? I gave him an sponsor letter or affidavit of support. He said that when he went for the visa interview, they didnt even look at that. Does that mean i can give another affidavit to someone else? Is there a limit or guideline for affidavits? Thanks for you help.

No one has to come here. The visa is valid for 10 years, so he can apply to enter any time. You don't have to give an affidavit to anyone else. However, he will face questions if he applys to enter at a U.S. border. An affidavit relevant to his actual visit might help. But more important is evidence that he does not intend to relinquish his residence abroad.

...yet another of Antivirus' relatives planning to immigrate illegally to America, no doubt...to join the ones that are already here.

Until two years ago, Antivirus was an illegal alien...and here he is writing letters of sponsorship and support - quite honestly, the arrogance boggles the mind!!

He can use his visa any time during its validity i.e 10 years. Normally it is valid for 6 months at a time but it does not mean he stays in the US for 6 months and then go back home for few days and come backe again.

Tell your uncle not to ever come to USA, unless he has MIRs' invitation.

Young Man a visa is not valid for six months at admission. The terms of admission are separate from the visa itself. Many who know little about immigration law routinely confuse a visa with the terms of admission. Generally visitors for pleasure are admitted for six months but that is not always true and it can be less or more time. But saying a visa is valid for six months admission to the U.S. is inaccurate. Many immigration attorneys make this mistake. Lets be accurate here. An I-94 may be adjudicated for six months but you can't say a visa is valid for six months, unless the visa was issued for a validity period of six months.
