I can understand S12's reaction, and I really wish things were different, this is the first time I have ever broken a law, (well except for a speeding ticket back in 1986 in the UK). Im not asking for sympathy, just a little sound advise,

I have been looking back in this forum, I went back to 2003 and have been reading what S12's advise was like then, he is a very intelligent man, all I am asking is a little bit of advise, money is tight in our household, and lawyers are very expensive, we are trying our best to do this ourselves. and rectify our wrong doing. Our marraige is not a fraud, so I am not worried about any interviews we will be attending in the future, if we get that far. all I am concerned about was the overstay.

It seems to me that if I am married to a US Citizen by birth, ( his parents are US Citizens and his grandparents were US Citizens, not that it really matters - concerning his parents and grandparents) I came in the country legally albeit a tourist visa and was inspected, I may have a chance of getting approved. is this the case or not.

Please Someone12, like I said you are intelligent, you seem to have alot of knowledge on the US immigration Laws, be nice, if you dont want to be nice on here then send a personal message, I wont tell anyone how helpful you have been. lol

excuses are like a-holes....everyone has them....and this whining nonsense about not wanting to be apart, yaddy yaddy yaddy..is just the typical 'rationalization' for disobeying our laws...and sorry, I do not believe for one minute that you have not been working illegally in my country...no one stays home for nearly 3 years watching the grass grow...

Companies can find other ways to bring in workers and keep the wages down. I'm seeing it right now. The company wants to pay a couple dollars less than other sites; knew they couldn't get USC manpower to come to this nasty, dirty worksite so they brought in about 200 Filipino workers through the E2 Treaty Investor Visa. These workers are only skilled tradesman. No different from other available USC.

So, irregardless if illegals (I'm not referring to the Filipino's as illegals) are stealing jobs from Americans, the companies will always find ways to line their pockets. They'll obtain contract labor. So, throw a little blame on the companies.

It's not the Filipino's stealing American jobs, it's the company itself doing it. There's other USC workers out there that have said they won't come onto this particular site. I know many of them that said they absolutely won't come.

With the manning up of all the Filipino's, the company won't be forced to pay a higher wage. And even if they did, most USC's wouldn't stay because it's not that sterile of an environment.

It knew they didn't want to pay as much as other sites and having done so they'd received enough USC's to do the job. USC's are leaving on a daily basis to leave the dirty working conditions. Jobs that Americans won't do. I can attest to the fact that it's true!! Seeing it with my own eyes.

Hmmm. Not so sure how long I want to stay either! Whoops! Another job an American doesn't want!

Companies will always get around it, S12, so get over it. And yes, there's jobs Americans won't do and if they do them, they don't stay long before leaving in search of other employ.

Keeping your focus where it matters? You need to get your focus (your head) our of your a$$ and back onto your shoulders where it belongs.

Is this not a forum to seek help and advice on Immigration? This place is more like somewhere to get abuse, racist remarks, anti women abuse and all that.
Some of you are here for the right reasons and do help, but some are purely here to take out their fraustration on genuine people who need help. Whether they are legal or illegal, help instead of abusing them.

Part of the problem is the law itself, specifically if an immigrant has either overstayed or violated some minute aspect of immigration law. The immigration code is also vase, more vase than the current tax code. Yet people want a simpler tax code, but not immigration code; however, both have such an impact on daily life whether one believes it ot not. Second, the immigration code does not match with the US current economic needs. One of our needs is "cheap labor." Cheap labor is not necessarily a bad economic commodity since we are now in a globalized market. Major corporatons, MNC, and the small companies not only compete within the borders of their local provence, state, or city, but also compete with the other companies that lay far beyond our borders. This is what the internet has done, as well as a shift in migration statistics to economic areas in need of labor. The industrialized countries have recognized this, including the US, but still are flamboyant to engage in ancient rivalries, misplaced judgemental alliances, etc. Welcome to the New Order, Sprint girl.

does anybody know's if someone have an i-130 approved and wanna get an advanance parole to enter the u.s before getting the immigrant visa?can the immigration give him an advance parole before getting the visa ?if hes outside the u.s?

What your engaged in now is not freedom of speech, its abuse, and quite frankly a form of racial profiling. You want to talk up a storm about the immigration laws, and how my wife should return to the UK and face the ban, etc. Were dealing with our situation as the law curently allows us to, given our situation. If you don't like the idea that our officials deal with everyone on a case by case basis, then exercise your freedom of speech with your local representitive and jump the immigration reform band wagon and get the laws re-worked to be strictly on a "cut & dry" basis.

How about our own officials here in this country were to begin harrassing you about whether or not you were a "legal" citizen, whether or not you were born here, and if they had their signals crossed, a case of mistaken identity, etc...began giving you the "riot act" through the mail, and this went on for several months, I'm sure you'd have plenty to say (and quite loudly I might add) to anyone silly enough to listen to you.
