Anything with both your names on is good, just be yourselves, try not to be too nervous.
I didnt have too much evidence to supply either, as we had only just made a home together, I think I had about 3 things that had joint names on, but the more you have the better.
Dont forget to take photo copies of all your documents.
THANK you. how did yours go? what questions did they ask you? we have credit, debit, utilites, but no health insurance, was too expensive to have it jointly, i think they will understand that. and like over 200 pictures.
Our Interview went ok, altho they were more interested in my husbands past marriages, so we had to clear that up with them,
they just asked how we met, what we had been doing since I had already been in the US for about 2/3 years, as I had overstayed my visa.
Depending on the I/O, some can be very serious at what they do, others can make you really comfortable, just answer their questions with short straight answers, I am sure you will be fine.
BTW: we didnt actually get a decision on the day, our interview was on a thursday, and the I/O told us that we would hear from them within 3/4 weeks, infact we got our answer the following monday. so dont worry if they dont give you an answer there and then.
Im so nervous............although our marriage is REAL, but just going there and being questioned makes me nervous. well i have overstayed my visa 6years, so im sure they will question that, what i have been doing over the years. Im not expecting them to give me the answer there and then, but would be nice, if the FBI name check is not clear by then, is that the reason why they wouldnt give it right away? how long does it take for that to clear?

As Jake said, relax. Everything will be fine. If you do not understand the question, ask the interviewer to restate the question. Questions will be like how did the two of you meet, why did you decide to get married, what does he like, etc. What is equally important will be the nonverbal communication skills, That is, how the two of you interact with each other in a room in fromt of a stranger. Try not to do anything out of the ordinary that you would do in a park, church, restaurant, etc.
Again, relax. You will pass.

I think Jake's avatar looks too much like mine. It was Jake who responded in this thread, Hudson, not I - lol!

Sorry Proud, for some reason had one of your posts on my mind, just cannot remember which one.

Hello Bianca, is this a I-485 interview?
First tip - bring all the original copies of all application , proof of that your husband is a UCS, your, Birth-certificate, Marriage certificate, 1-94 and all the passport you used. Make a copy of each ( USCIS will take those a copies).
Both of you should bring ID...( drivers license or state ID) Bring your EAD card if you have one.
Bring copies of lease or bills, joint bank accounts, letters, pictures, receipts of gifts where both your name are.If you don't have all of these just explain it to them.
USCIS will not usually ask you why you overstay. The question sometimes is.. How many times you enter the US.
Common questions is...When and How did you meet? They will ask you to describe your wedding. They will ask about you and your husband family, kids ( if you have some or kids from both your past marriage). In short ,it's mostly about you and your hubby.
If you're really truly married you should know everything about each other right?
Just take it like a normal talk just like you do with your friends.USCIS is not questioning you here like you did a crime or something lol. Just be yourself and remember USCIS only wanna know more about you and your husband.
lastly... TELL THEM ONLY THE TRUTH. Don't fabricate a lie.
Goodluck!

Have you ever been convicted of a crime in the US?
If not... then why worry.Everything will go smooth as long as you didn't do something that's against the law.
If you did and lied about it.. then your application will get denied.
Bianca, just out of interest whaen did you send off your papers,
if you had your bio's in the first week of march, you didnt have to wait too long for the interview (about 8 weeks) depending on where you are, I am in oklahoma, and my processing took around 4 months in total, it seems you are having a quick processing time too! which is good for you.
Like Speed said, if you havent been in trouble with the Law, you should be fine.
BTW how long have you been married? if you have been married for over 2 years, you will get the 10 year green card straight away.
the law is on my side.:-) no criminal background for sure. :-0 We've been married for 6 months been together a year and a half. I filed my papers in the end of January and tomorrow is my interview. I just hope the fbi name check is there already. fingers crossed
