I am on my way back to my home country after being in the US for 5 years on a F1 student visa which will be expiring in a few weeks.

I've met someone but we cannot get married yet since his divorce is not finalized yet.

We are planning to get married within a year.
my question is this
I have a misdemeanor charge will that be giving us huge problems when it comes to doing he paperwork and getting a visa to get back here after we get married in my home country?

I dont think so, but talk to a lawyer and ask. I saw on a USCIS website that one is not a porblem, but you should double check.

Thanx,
I am high hopes on this one since I really love this man very much it is just so **** hard that you get into trouble sometimes without having the intentions and then it haunts you forever.

Thanx we'll consult with a lwayer I told him that is what we should do but we thought since people here are always pretty helpful we might find an answer.

What kind of a crime did you commit? And how long ago?

Some types of misdermeanors can make you ineligible for future admission.

Am I? Smile If it is the same person, then she already told us before what kind of crime it was, besides, I was trying to be realistic.

I was kidding Wink

If you spoke in person, that question would be considered nosy.. that is outside this forum.
