If she still visits the forum, she will surely be unhappy. Because I'm not happy either for your inaccurate assumption.
I am who I am, and might as well leave her claim to be who she is.
If still you're not convinced test me on anything about the Philippines.
I just wonder how and why you arrived at that conclusion. Anyway, sorry, you're dead wrong. Nice try though.
Curiously &^%$*& Bob: I did this twice but I'll never do this again.
filipina?? One of the cultures that abuses visas in a very high percentage... you and timmy would make a great match....IQs that don't add up to 120....no clue about the downside of illegal immigration..no clue about why the US has laws....no clue, in general...

Actually, I have a life, that is why I am going to say good night. You on the other hand, are posting like a crazy maniac. I know, it's hard to find a job when you're an illegal (an angry one at that). Good night....got to get plenty of rest for work in the morning.
What I have noticed in many counties, including America, is a strong tendency on the part of conservatives to assume that their position is the patriotic one.
So, they believe that people who don't agree with them are being unpatriotic.

what is unpatriotic about believing the rule of law? What is so unpatriotic about merely asking (requiring) that foreigners OBEY our laws, not sneak across our borders, not lie or commit fraud to get a US visa?? Please.....explain why you think it is OK for anyone to saunter across our borders, lie to our immigration officials or commit other types of fraud against the US Govt just to get an immigration benefit, ahead of all those who are following the laws.....let's hear it...(by the way, you will be the first to do so, if you can)
Lunchtime again. Okay, okay, if this will put all this librada=iperson hoopla to rest, I'll say it once but I'll never say it again. Take note especially CuriousBob. I have never been very honest. Yes, "librada" is my second ID. But my first one is not Iperson........ it's Someone12. Sorry.

I'm sure you'll find plenty of posts from foreigners who chose to come to America and then can't do anything but whine and complain about our government, policies, President. That's what inspired my rant. I don't think about patriotism as Republican, Democrat, Independent, whatever. Patriotism is about loyalty - allegience to your country (be it your country of origin or choice). I've seen many rants on this board where I seriously challenge the patriotism of the poster. Go back and read some of the older posts - particularly from Iperson. Maybe you'll be 'enlightened' like I was.
Patriotism: = Devoted love, support, and defense of one's country, national loyalty Criticism: = The act of passing judgment as to the merits of anything
For the intelligent, patriotism and criticism have nothing to do with each other. We have seen this subject before a couple of weeks ago when you came to this forum, so I'll see if I can put a different spin on it, to make you understand that once critical thinking has nothing to do with non-patriotism.
Criticism: In the 23 years, that I have lived in America, I have yet to find one American that is not b.i.t.c.hing and moaning about Uncle Sam. So, just to fit in, I (illegal), too b.i.t.c.h and moan about the government and I bet you, if I would be in Germany, I would do just the same. Not only is it human nature to express the negative rather than the positive, but it's the governments and authorities everywhere in the world that have to sack it first and foremost because we are forced to submit to rules and regulations and that hurts our human pride. People love their children very much and criticize them all the time, why do they do it, because they live in hopes that it will open their eyes and help them to see reality and see things more clearly and that, according to me counts also for my American friends. For if one doesn't hear anything, one assumes that all is dandy!
Patriotism: I, think I can speak for many immigrant people coming from different countries, for they must see things and notice things differently just as I do. On the one hand things are great and better, on the other hand I notice things here that I consider just plain old stupid. Should I keep it for myself, be unpatriotic and not tell anyone – NO, I don't want to because I think I am a smart individual and I have much to contribute and it makes me feel good to make my American friends aware of things that I see and they might not.
What happened to: Give me Liberty or give me death! Starting at pre-kindergarten ages, America makes its citizen pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Pre-kindergarten people don't know what nationality is, they maybe know what a flag looks like, but do they know what it stands for?. Do they know what they're saying? Where is the liberty in that? How can anyone pledge national allegiance that doesn't know how or just barely knows how to count to 10? I think your government is brainwashing you and creates narrow-minded, pompous people that really think America is it. It creates people like you that are non-accepting of other nationalities, others views and look down on foreigners and don't accept their patriotism in whichever form it is provided

And he's fuming! You can just see the steam coming off his post!
Kollerkrot, you're absolutely right about the symbol-minded people like ProudUSC - he probably never stepped foot out of this country to go appreciate another country - and if he did, it was probably with the military and he probably rarely left the US military base he was at.
He thinks he's a patriot but he's just a simpleminded meanspirited a$$hole.

Hey as$hole, let's pose the question like this and see if you can see where I am coming from:
What IS so patriotic about believing the rule of law? What IS so patriotic about merely asking (requiring) that foreigners OBEY our laws, not sneak across our borders, not lie or commit fraud to get a US visa?
A patriot is FAR more than what you simply believe it to be - you're not a patriot, you're just some angry $hithead calling himself a patriot.
You're probably the kind of patriotic fool that never questions his goverment when it comes to things like wars and foreign policy and whatnot - that's not a patriot - that's a zombie in a trance without an original thought in his head. Do you think the founders of this country intended it's citizens to never question and doubt it's government?

I am very accepting of other nationalities and races - never said otherwise. I don't care for people entering this country illegally - period. There are venues to take to lawfully enter this country. And, as I stated originally, it particularly ticks me off when people made the choice to come here and then can do nothing but b.i.t.c.h and moan about it.
As for you, Timmy, many posts ago, I made reference that I am not a dude (hello? meaning guy). So when you post your rants, please refer to me as 'she' and not he. For the record, I've traveled extensively outside of the US. I like to experience different cultures; but I'm always glad that I have a great country to return to.
Come, all ye huddled masses....
ProudUSC, judging by some of your posts in here (not all of them, because in some of them you actually do come down of that high horse that you are on and sound human!), you wouldn't know brainwashing if it would clobber you with a hammer.
Please enlighten me - what is it; I don't have a clue about? Principles? Liberalism? Conservatism? Nationality? Immigration? I can't say OUR government, because it is not MY government. I consider myself a guest worker, I hold a German Passport, and as of yet, I have not pledged allegiance to the USA and for as long as I don't do that, I will remain German.
If I do go back to Germany, the US-government will have to repay my contributions made thus far, which brings me to the point, that many of the illegal opponents have no clue about and that contrary to their belief many illegal do pay taxes and have receipts that they did. The government would have to repay the estimated 12-20 million people what is owed them.
You think this would rip a hole into the US-budget? Just imagine the problems that would follow.

u know i never thought of it like that, taxes.. And repaying those back that they say adios to. not just taxes, social security.... Koller I agree that its not OUR government, but whilst in rome do as the romans do....I get angry hearing all the negative... IS THERE ANY POSITIVE OUT THERE. really would be nice to start hearing good things about illegals, immigration stories and not all the doom and gloom.
