Chicago, IL - Baker & McKenzie LLP is seeking Immigration Paralegal to assist the Immigration Practice group with daily tasks associated with the practice. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting the attorneys in all aspects of the processing of nonimmigrant and immigrant cases, preparing nonimmigrant and employment-based immigrant cases (H-1B; L-1A & L-1B; E-1 & E-2; TN-1; Labor Certification Applications, Permanent Residency Applications etc.) for large corporations, performing legal research, maintaining and updating docket system to ensure timely filing extensions, petitions and applications, assisting with case file management, assisting with the collection of data and documentation necessary to prepare and file of applications, and handling the daily tasks. The ideal candidate must have Bachelor’s degree, 1-3 years of employment based immigration experience including ability to examine foreign national candidate's qualifications for non-immigrant (temporary) visas and/or permanent residency applications (I-140 or PERM applications) . Must have strong organizational skills, attention to details, excellent verbal and written skills, be able to work well in a document intensive and fast-paced environment.
