  • July 21 - Immigrants and POWs

    Comment: Immigrants and POWs
Just when people thought that Donald Trump could not push political discourse any lower, after he said that Mexican immigrants are criminals, drug dealers and rapists; he outdid himself by saying that POWs are losers because they were captured. The bravery needed to actual fight in the gruesome all-consuming uncertainty of war, and the courage needed to preserve one's body, mind and soul through a brutal prisoner of war camp, is clearly beyond the comprehension of this pretentious arm-chair general. Belittling and disparaging honest, hardworking, ambitious immigrants building their lives and families comes from the same self-serving disregard for facts and willingness to distort them to suit his own agenda for that drives his despicable attack on Senator McCain for being a POW. With this low blow Mr. Trump is history, good riddance to the bad rubbish that has of late permeated the Presidential campaign.
