    Comment: Pew Undocumented Immigrants Potrait
    Pew Research Center released a report "Unauthorized Immigrants: Who they are and what the public thinks"

    It has several interesting findings:

    • Since 2007 the undocumented population in the US has been shrinking.
    • In 2012, Foreign-born population in US is 42.5 million or 13.5% of US residents.
    • Undocumented immigrants comprise of 5% of the labor force in 2012
    • Mexican undocumented immigrant population fell almost 15% from 2007 to 2012 due to decreased arrivals and increased departures.
    • 70% of Americans support a path to legal status for the undocumented.
    • Obama administration deported more than 2 million undocumented immigrants since Obama took office and deported a record 438,421 immigrants in fiscal 2013.
