Comment: Monsoon In India

Indian Monsoon arrives in India in June and sits on India continuously delivering almost all the rain India receives for the year during June, July and August. See animation here: click here.

The monsoon sees multiple days of downpour at a stretch which routinely disrupt transportation systems throughout India. The intensity and duration of rain in India during the monsoon should not be underestimated - speaking purely in technical meteorological terms, the monsoon is a hurricane lasting for the three months non-stop - yes, that's right: a 3-month long hurricane is an exact technical description of the Indian monsoon.

As a result, ability to travel in India is severely disrupted during the Monsoon season. One should plan for unpredictable delays during the monsoon, lasting anywhere from a few minutes, to a few hours, to a few days at a time.

During 2018, June, July and August happen to be a critical period for raising EB-5 investments. Those planning to raise money in India during the monsoon should keep the vicissitudes of the rain in mind.
