Comment: H2B H3 And Immigration Extensions

The House has voted in a bipartisan manner for a mammoth 2,232 page "Omni" appropriations bill, it is on its way to enactment over the next few days. Several immigration benefit provisions are contained therein, we mention them below.
  • On H2Bs, as expected, Congress continues to fashion relief, including on numerical quota, prevailing wage, and other H2B related matters, see pages 909, 910, 911, and 1760, excerpted from the bill here.
  • On H3s, an interesting provision appears to prevent DHS from hiring H3s, see page 704, excerpted from the bill here.
  • Finally, excerpted from page 1759, are four extension provisions, which apparently apply to EB5, Conrad Waivers, Religious Workers and E-Verify, excerpted from the bill here.
