    Comment: Melting Pot vs Ghetto
Politico reports on a speech by Louisiana Governor, Bobby Jindal, in Europe where he distinguishes between the traditional immigration to America from the recent immigration to Europe.

Speaking to the conservative Henry Jackson Society in London, the potential Republican presidential candidate will contrast his parents' decision to come to the United States from India 45 years ago with the mind-set of newer-generation European immigrants who subscribe to radical Islam. "My dad and mom told my brother and me that we came to America to be Americans - not Indian-Americans... They love India. But they came to America because they were looking for greater opportunity and freedom... It is my view that immigration can make a country stronger, or it can make a country weaker. It really depends on whether the immigrants coming to your country are coming to join your culture, your mores, your laws, and to become a part of your history."

America has a long tradition of assimilating immigrants from numerous countries with varied cultures. Especially the children of American immigrants are indistinguishable from other Americans. In countries like France, even if you are from neighboring Italy, you and your family can live in France for three generations, and still be considered as Italians, not French. One can become an American; but one cannot become French in the deepest sense. The universal notion of "an American" gives America a strong competitive advantage in attracting the immigrants who want to pursue their own dream, which keeps rejuvinating the American dream.

Comment: Change in EB5 Market – its all about marketing

      Old EB5 Model-Seller's Market New EB5 Mondel-Buyer's Market
      Issuers Small number of Issuers
(Project + USCIS approval = investment success)
      Large number of Issuers
(USCIS approval & good project are commodities)
      Market Only China Multiple markets:
      China, India, Vietnam, etc.
      Roles Issuer gets project & USCIS approval;
Chinese Agent does SOF and Sales
      Breakup of functions:
      SOF by US immigration attorneys,
      Marketing by Issuers,
      Sales by agents
(A Good Project and USCIS approval are now commodities due to the large number of Issuers with both)
Marketing Marketing NOT necessary for success
(because market was a seller’s market with more demand than supply)
