Comment: Data on DACA
According to a recent report by Center for American Progress a year after the implantation of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals [DACA], approximately 600,000 individuals have applied and about 430,000 applicants have been granted the status. The report notes that the demographics of applicants have varied on several levels: implementation by state, country of origin of the applicants, gender and age of the applicants, and acceptances and denials based on country of origin and age of the applicants.

"Data from this report can be used to better pinpoint geographic regions and particular racial and ethnic groups that may need more outreach... undocumented youth are an increasingly vocal part of the contemporary immigration... these youths have played an instrumental role in building momentum for broad, common-sense, and permanent immigration policy solutions."
