Comment: PDFs in Immigration Daily
As a continuous effort, we have been changing the formatting of Immigration Daily in order to make it a more user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing platform through which our readers can receive up-to-date articles, blog postings, news, and headlines about immigration law. In this effort, some readers seem to be experiencing problems viewing the PDF documents. Rest assured, this is a problem that can easily be fixed! As it need not be noted, our readers access Immigration Daily using a variety of options. Please allow us to walk you through a solution to view the PDF documents properly if you are unable to view them.

In some browsers the PDF documents displayed in Immigration Daily appear to be cut-off on the right-hand side. To correct the problem you may want to try the following:

  1. If you are using Firefox Mozilla, simply refresh the page.
  2. If you are using Internet Explorer or Google Chrome, please use the Adobe Reader built-in zoom buttons to adjust the view. (The buttons become visible when you hover the mouse over the document.) These buttons permit you to reduce the size of the document to eliminate the cut-off situation.
  3. If you do not have Adobe Reader on your computer, please install it.
  4. If the above three methods do not work, you may have to verify that your Adobe Reader is set to display the document in the browser. In order to do so, please go to Adobe Reader, click on "edit," and choose "preferences." From the left panel, select "internet." Verify that the box, "display PDF in browser" is checked.
  5. If after doing so, you are still unable to view the PDFs, please ensure that your browser's version is up-to-date and that the Adobe PDF plug-in is enabled.
We hope that the above will assist our readers in accessing PDF documents in Immigration Daily. If you have any comments or questions, please write to editor@ilw.com.
